Advanced server level spam filtering

Our server level spam filter leverages sophisticated rule sets and machine learning to block spam, phishing attempts, and malware, ensuring a clean and secure inbox. By scanning content and implementing strict policies, such as blocking certain file types, we proactively defend against ransomware and other email-based threats, keeping your communications safe. For simple, secure, private and encrypted file sharing, we have launched an instance of Send, so you can securely send files over the internet that were not intended for email. The best part is Send can be integrated directly into Thunderbird.

Note: Send lets you share files with end-to-end encryption and a link that automatically expires. So you can keep what you share private and make sure your stuff doesn’t stay online forever.

SPF, DKIM, and DMARC implementation

With the advanced email security hosting addon, we prevent email spoofing and enhance authenticity with security focused email authentication protocols:

SPF (Sender Policy Framework): Authorises legitimate mail servers to send emails on your behalf.
DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Mail): Adds cryptographic signatures to verify email integrity.
DMARC (Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting & Conformance): Enforces policies and provides reports to block unauthorised emails.

These measures reduce phishing risks and ensure your emails are trusted and secure.

DNSSEC implementation (under certain conditions)

Domain Name System Security Extensions (DNSSEC) secure DNS records by preventing spoofing and unauthorised access. However, many hosting providers have started using SpamExperts by N-able to filter their outgoing mails. Their servers do not support the latest DNSSEC security cyphers, which has created broad compatibility issues across the email network. When DNSSEC is enabled and enforced on our side, emails from these servers will not be received by our network. Unfortunately since some of the larger hosting companies have started using SpamExperts for outgoing filtering, we are not able to implement DNSSEC by default. Before implementation our clients will need to fully understand the compatibility issues inherit when newer technologies are not adopted by larger companies.

Note: the decision taken by other hosting companies to filter their outgoing mail through a third-party service has created a huge national security risk, as unencrypted emails are now being routed through foreign third-party servers. Noiz therefore HIGHLY recommends that certain companies consider enabling GnuPG and OpenPGP for email communications.

Note: DNSSEC activation may result in difficult to identify email delivery issues with receiving from hosts using third-party filters like SpamExperts.

Advanced email security per-user spam filter training interface

Our advanced email security addon for hosting enables a user-friendly interface in Plesk used to train the spam filter. Custom rules, whitelisting, blacklisting and more. Also, by marking emails as “Spam” and moving them from the “Inbox” to the dedicated “Spam” folder with IMAP, users can customise filtering to their needs, improving accuracy and reducing false positives over time.

MTA-STS and TLS-RPT

End-to-End encryption with GnuPG and OpenPGP

For sensitive communications, Noiz supports and recommends OpenPGP encryption (as well as GnuPG), ensuring only the intended recipient can access email content. This feature requires configuration for most email clients, but is a standard option available in Thunderbird. We can and do provide user training for seamless implementation. Optional mailbox archiving

Mailbox archiving is available upon request and is not included by default. We recommend noiz.cloud, our hosted NextCloud, for secure, accessible, and private email storage.
